A presentation scheduled for June by the Grundy Museum in Bristol Borough has been canceled due to the pandemic, but it will be released online this week.

Bristol Borough resident Eros Leroi will present “Corsets and Tuxedo Belts: Fashion Through the Ages” online on the museum’s YouTube channel. The channel will air on YouTube on Thursday and will also feature information on the museum grounds, the Grundy family, restoration projects and other topics.

The presentation of Leroi online required museum staff to get creative. A freshly carpeted room in the museum has been transformed into a makeshift studio.

Museum staff accepted an in-kind donation from local musician Frank Butrey. He composed the song “Melody for Margaret” for use in all of the museum’s YouTube videos and other content.

Staff at the Grundy Museum said they are working to stay in touch with the public while the facility remains closed for in-person tours due to COVID-19 and ongoing restoration work.

Corsets and tuxedo belts: Fashion through the ages The host Leroi is a volunteer at the museum and a master craftsman in the art of tailoring, tailoring and the pattern. He participated in the making of draperies during the restoration of the museum.
